September Class Curriculum and Important Upcoming Dates

Important dates for the month of September:

Saturday, September 8 at 11:30am – Black Belt Ceremony & Pot Luck Lunch – Please join us to congratulate our newest black belts: Hirschel Raklyar and Aditi Pradhan.  Adam Johnston will receive his 2nd degree and Master Clint his 5th degree.  All black belts and their families are invited to attend.  Please bring a dish to share for our lunch at 12pm.  There will be no 11:15am Tournament/Demonstration Team training.

Monday, September 10 & Tuesday, September 11 – CMA Day Camp – For the students whose schools are closed for Rosh Hashanah, we will be hosting day camp.  There will be physical games including: High jump, long jump, dodge ball, and Nerf gun wars.  There will also be arts and craft activities, video games, movies, and healthy snacks.  Please register by email or at the front desk.

Wednesday, September 12-Tuesday, September 18 – Limited Schedule – Grand Master Shipp and Master Clint will be assisting Supreme Master Kim in a historic Taekwondo Seminar conducted in Austria and the Czech Republic.  During this time we will only have a 4pm and 5pm class.  The after-school program will run as normal.

Wednesday, September 19 – CMA Day Camp – For the students whose schools are closed for Yom Kippur, we will be hosting day camp.  There will be physical games including: High jump, long jump, dodge ball, and Nerf gun wars.  There will also be arts and craft activities, video games, movies, and healthy snacks.  Please register by email or at the front desk.

Wednesday, September 19 – Board Breaking Day – Students will be given the opportunity to practice the breaking technique they will be required to perform at their next belt level test.  Students may also purchase extra boards to practice breaking routines for upcoming tournaments or demonstrations.  Boards cost $3 each and can be purchased before class or they will be billed to the card on file.

Thursday, September 27 – Friend Day – On this day students are encouraged to bring a friend with them to their regular class.  We will have a special classes planned for students of all experience levels.  Prizes will be given to those students who bring a friend.  If your friend signs up for our regular program you will receive a referral credit good for your next promotion testing fee.

Finally I would like to remind everyone that we are no longer wearing Summer Uniforms.  Please be sure to wear your traditional white Taekwondo uniform.
